As part of the growth plan of the established logistics firm, this green belt site had been purchased as the new location for the firms base of operations.
The existing site sloped from the top and bottom with a water course at the base and a low hanging power line cutting the site in half. Although the location of the site was ideal for the business the site required careful consideration and approach to maximise the layout.

The site uses the sloping topography a new gabion clad building set within the landscape split over two levels. From one side the building is single storey and two storeys on the logistics side creates a building set within the landscape.
A separate warehouse used as a holding area for clients products and a new Vospa MOT testing centre to maintain and manage the fleet of vehicles creates a holistic design for the new site.

Three separate buildings with the main feature office building shielding the rest of the site are laid out with a new parking area.
The new building office building set within the landscape is the main element of the site and provides the front of house for existing and new clients. The warehouse and MOT centre create functional working facilities to support the business.
Gabion cages and textured blocks make a connection with roadside and motorway highways. This design nod to logistics creates a talking point to for the business whilst grounding the building into the sloping topography.
