Risk Assessment:

 

  • We will complete relevant risk assessments and take action.
  • We will review risk assessments when working habits or conditions change.

 

Training:

 

  • We will give staff a health and safety induction.
  • We will give staff a copy of the The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • We will give staff copies of our relevant procedures and risk assessments as part of the induction process.
  • We will provide personal protective equipment.
  • We will make sure suitable arrangements are in place for employees who work remotely.

 

Consultation:

 

  • We consult with our staff routinely on health and safety matters as they arise and formally when we review our policies annually.

 

Evacuation:

 

  • We make sure that daily checks are undertaken that escape routes are clear at all times.
  • Evacuation plans are tested from time to time and updated regularly.

Part 3 – Arrangements for health and safety

1. Overall and final responsibility for health and safety:

 

  • Patrick Broggan (Managing Director)

 

2. Day to day responsibility for ensuring this policy is put into place:

 

  • Charlotte Broggan Finance and Commercial Director
  • Bettina Ellul Vincenti Interiors Director

 

3. To ensure health and safety standards are maintained/ improved, the following people have responsibility in the following areas:

 

  • Patrick Broggan – safety, risk assessments, consulting employees, accidents, first aid and work related ill health.
  • Charlotte Broggan – Monitoring and accident and ill-health investigation.
  • Bettina Ellul Vincenti – Providing in house training, instruction and supervision.

 

4. All employees should:

 

  • Co-operate with supervisors and managers on health and safety matters;
  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety; and
  • Report all health and safety concerns to an appropriate person (as detailed above).

Part 2 - Responsibility for Health and Safety

  • Eliminate, reduce or manage work related risks
  • Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health
  • Manage health and safety risks in our workplace
  • Provide clear instructions and information to staff in performing and undertaking their role.
  • Provide adequate training to enable staff to safely undertake their work.
  • Maintain safe and healthy working environments.
  • Ensure adequate training and implement clear emergency procedures.
  • Ensure adequate training for evacuation in the event of a fire or a significant incident.
  • Ensure staff are accountable and responsible for their own health and safety.
  • Ensure staff are accountable and responsible for their colleagues health and safety.
  • Review and revise this policy regularly.
