This is an exciting opportunity to create an exciting bespoke joinery package with character to match the various ages of the prestigious home. This Georgian kitchen refurbishment will bring the home up to modern standards but employing traditional building techniques.
A Georgian Kitchen refurbishment using traditional joinery techniques and attention to detail.
This kitchen refurbishment will look at a holistic refurbishment using traditional construction methods and traditional joinery skills to create an in keeping kitchen to blend and add to the historic wealth of the existing property. Be it from tongue and groove joints, dove tail joints or traditional panel door construction. Here at Fingerprintstudios Architects in Portsmouth will use historic tried and tested construction methods to create an in keeping kitchen. We are looking at the finest details including raising the grain prior to hand painting with a brush. This attention to detail and hand finishing will ensure that the kitchen has a unique one of a kind feel and will be a truly hand crafted work of art.
Improving daylight through use of conservation roof lights and oak joinery.
We are looking to replace an existing flat roof with a new pitched roof with oak joinery, including load bearing beams and joists. This coupled with conservation roof lights set within Welsh slates will provide an in keeping refurbishment and add to the character of the existing Georgian Home. The additional volume created by the single pitched roof and conservation roof lights will flood the kitchen with natural daylight and provide a much nicer environment to cook and socialise in.
