House Extension to a 1970’s Dwelling.

Contemporary 1970’s House Extension to an existing 1070’s dwelling.

House extension feasibility study.

Fingerprintstudios have been commissioned to provide a feasibility to an existing 1970’s dwelling in Portsmouth Hampshire. Two architectural feasibility studies have been produced to review the ideal arrangement for a growing family. The clients are looking for a contemporary house extension to provide a striking piece of architecture to the bland 1970’s existing building. The feasibility looks at maximising the buildings footprint in a challenging terrace situation. This house extension feasibility provides the client with two options as well as much needed professional Architects advice including planning, land and contract law, explores budget constraints and reviews the house in a holistic manner. Fingerprintstudios Architects can provide professional Architects and construction advice.

Rights to light and privacy.

As the property is an terrace dwelling consideration to rights to light and privacy must be given to ensure that no detriment to the neighbouring properties occurs. A low level single storey with a gull wing roof will maximise the internal ceiling height and building volume whilst ultimately keeping a low key building. New roof lights and a metal standing seam roof will provide the elements of  delight for this piece of architecture.

Single Storey House extension.

This single storey house extension will provide much needed additional living accommodation for a growing family. It will allow for a major internal refurbishment and fit out. This house extension will allow existing living and kitchen areas to be reconfigured to provide a layout more suited to modern standards of living as well as catering for a growing family. It is important to the client to ensure that the garden is an extension of the living and kitchen areas as well as ensuring that the children can be watched at all times from the ground floor area. This house extension in Portsmouth will provide much needed single storey living accommodation.
