THE EYE – Youth centre Interior Design

THE EYE - Youth centre Interior Design.

THE EYE – Youth Centre

A new youth and community centre.

THE EYE – Youth centre Interior Design.

These are a brief snap shot of the initial THE EYE – Youth centre interior design proposals for the new youth and community centre. The project stakeholders including Billingshurst Community Partnerhip, Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council are keen on a simple, robust and low maintenance interior. The design needs to work towards having low maintenance for 25 years. This interior is modern with the full double height volume to the ridge with a polished concrete floor, gold feature cladding and white washed ceilings and walls.

Using volume to increase the space.

The pitched roof volume has been maximised in this interior design. This volume adds to the sense of space and increases the open plan feeling of the design. The polished concrete floor will also reflect the natural daylight within the space. In all this interior design will feel open and be flooded with natural daylight. This additional sense of space will be welcomed in a modest size building.

Project update.

As Fingerprintstudios Architects continue to work on both the architecture and interior design of this proposal. We are working with our client preparing our planning application information whilst we are confirming the finer details of the architecture and interior design. Through the design process we work hard in achieving a holistic approach to the scheme.

Creating double height spaces.

The double height space becomes the real centre piece of this interior design. It ties the whole interior with the internal ridge line running through the whole space. This ridge height maximises the internal volume and increase the sense of space throughout the building. This increased volume and use of the pitched roof as well as architectural roof lights will create a bright interior.
